Universities are a part of Kenya’s educational system, which also include primary education, secondary school, and postsecondary education. The Ministry of Education is responsible for directing both primary and secondary education programs, as well as the annual publication of an official school calendar.
The following is a list of important dates that pertain to the current school year:
The last day of classes for elementary and secondary students will be October 2, 2023.
The last day of classes for the school year will be held on November 3, 2023.

Exams for the KPSEA and KCPE, which are taken by pupils in grades six and eight, will take place from the 30th of October to the 2nd of November in 2023. As a direct consequence of this, the KCSE examination will start on November 3 and continue until November 24 2023.
After that, on November 27th, 2023, the teachers will start grading the tests, and they will continue doing so for the following three weeks, until December 15th, 2023.
