What is a green Card ?
Those who have been granted permanent residency in the United States, more commonly referred to as “Green Card holders,” are legally permitted to stay and work in the country permanently.
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) provides proof of this status through a permanent resident card called a green card.
Between 1946 through 1964, identification cards issued to U.S. citizens were green.
Although they have been blue, yellow, and pink before being turned green again in 2010, the term “Green Card” stuck.
Everyone over the age of 18 who resides permanently in the United States must now carry a Green Card at all times, regardless of their name.
The online registration period for the DV-2024 Program begun on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 12:00 noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (GMT-4) and concludes on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 12:00 noon, Eastern Standard Time (EST) (GMT-5).

How many times can you apply for a Green Card?
According to the law, each year’s visa lottery must have its own separate application.
It does not matter if someone has previously entered a Visa Lottery or not for the subsequent Visa Lottery.
A new application is required of everyone who hopes to participate in the next Lottery.
In addition, only one application per person will be accepted.
On the other hand, a man and his wife can each submit one Green Card lottery application on their own behalf.
In the event that you win a Green Card in the lottery, your spouse and any unmarried minor children under the age of 21 will also be eligible to get their own Green Cards at the same time.
Applications from both parents can include the applicant’s unmarried minor children. All dependents over the age of 21 must submit individual applications.
Note: Submitting separate applications for you and your spouse double your chances of winning.
