PS – Principals and Headteachers rules before National Exams

On September 15th, the Principal Secretary for Education, Belio Kipsang, provided a crucial update regarding the next national tests. The examinations are scheduled to take place in a few weeks. Kipsang disclosed the status of preparations for the 2023 national examinations in a written statement. These preparations are in full flow.

He emphasized the need of preserving a regulated atmosphere within schools, advising school administrations to refrain from holding intra-school activities and limiting visits by parents. He also emphasized the need to maintain a controlled environment.

The Ministry of Education has made it very clear that during the third term, parents will not be permitted access to schools in order to maintain the highest possible level of safety and integrity for the national examinations. This decision was made to ensure that students are able to perform their best on the tests.

In addition, in order to make room for the beginning of the national examinations on October 27th, it has been planned that schools would wrap up their academic activities on that day.

It is important to take note that the KCPE that will be given in 2023 will be the last version of the 8-4-4 education system. In addition to this, Belio Kipsang made the announcement that the Ministry of Education is going to immediately release funding to schools, which is an improvement that educational institutions would be pleased to hear about.

As the candidates for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) work hard to prepare for the upcoming national examinations, we at the news desk want to send our sincere best wishes and encouragement their way. Your consistent effort and unwavering commitment are absolutely admirable, and we hope that your academic achievements will be fruitful as a result.
