Government Posts Job Openings in the Agriculture Ministry
The Ministry of Agriculture has 65 open positions spread across several departments, according to the government.
The ministry is hiring for 21 animal husbandry assistant roles, 16 animal health assistant positions, and 10 laboratory technician positions. The notice was published on January 30.
In addition, the government wants to hire five housekeeping assistants, six assistants for leather development, and seven assistants for livestock production.
The jobs come into job groupings D and G and are categorized under Civil Service Grades (CSG) 13–16.
Potential candidates who meet the requirements for the available positions at the Ministry of Agriculture are asked to fill out the PSC 2 form (Revised 2016).
Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke said, “The form may be downloaded from the Public Service Commission website www.publicservice.go.ke.”
The completed application form must be delivered by hand to the HRM&D Registry, Kilimo House, 2nd floor, room 2-17, or by mail to PO Box 34188-00100 Nairobi, Principal Secretary, State Department for Livestock Development, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, by 5:00 p.m. on February 12, 2024, at the latest.
Women, individuals with disabilities, marginalized groups, and minorities who fit the standards are encouraged to apply, according to the release.
The announcement makes it clear that during the interview, shortlisted candidates must show their actual professional certifications.
According to the advertisement, selected applicants will get accommodation, leave, and commuting expenses, along with a 30-day leave entitlement.
