The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has only granted recognition to 35 of Kenya’s public Teacher Training Colleges.
All students enrolled in TTC are required to go through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) in order to get admission to a college in Kenya. This requirement comes from a regulation issued by the Ministry of Education.
Many students who came from families with limited financial resources were able to earn their degrees with the assistance of the credit facility.
In accordance with the new rule, the Ministry of Education will no longer be in charge of selecting students for enrollment in public TTCs; rather, that function will be performed by the KUCCPS.
The KUCCPS website is where students must submit their applications to participate in institutions’ Teacher Education Programs.
