KNEC Releases Exam Registration Guidelines for KPSEA in 2024

The KPSEA and KILEA 2024 test registration procedure has been launched by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).

Beginning on January 29 and concluding on March 29, 2024, registration is open to students who want to take the KILEA and KPSEA exams.

David Njengere, CEO of KNEC, emphasized that school officials need to make sure that all Grade 6 students are reregistered for the assessment, in accordance with the process that will be put into place in 2023.

Njengere emphasized that the KPSEA Registration site will be used for registration, and she firmly reminded everyone that the KNEC Registration gateway will close on March 29, 2024.

He said, “Please take note that the KNEC Registration portal will close on March 29, 2024, and there won’t be a mechanism for candidates to register for the exam later.”

The dates of the KPSEA and KILEA exams are set for October 28, 2024, through October 31, 2024.

KILEA is intended for learners at the Intermediate Level who are ready to go on to the Pre-vocational Level.

Njengere emphasized that applicants who show up for the evaluation need to be qualified students who have been enrolled in classes at their respective institutions.

The registration of bogus applicants will be viewed as assessment malpractice, Njengere warned.

He went on to say that such behavior might result in penalties, such as the school’s deregistration as a KNEC testing facility.

To guarantee that the registration information for every student is accurate, school administrators were asked to make necessary edits to the biodata of applicants.

The head of the examination council made it clear that applicants may only be transferred inside the registration window.

To get an Assessment Number, KNEC stipulated that all qualified KPSEA candidates must first register on the Grade 6 portal.

Registration requires the Assessment number, and the head of the institution must make sure that the learners’ SBA results for Grades 4 and 5 are uploaded after the completion of the assessment.
