KUPPET Requests Ruto To Resolve Differences Between Teachers And AON-Minet Insurance Company

KUPPET Urges Ruto To Resolve Dispute Between Teachers and AON-Minet Insurance company Kenya Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) has called for President William Ruto to resolve the long-standing dispute between the teachers and the medical insurance provider, AON MINET.
The scheme has more than 500 providers offering various services, such as inpatient, outpatient, dental, optical, maternity, medical emergency evacuation, specialized referrals locally and internationally, group excess of loss cover, group life, and last expense cover.
Currently, the teachers’ medical scheme covers Sh. 1.2 million lives which include 345,000 TSC teachers and their dependents.
Teachers have expressed dissatisfaction with the medical coverage provided by Minet.
Since the inception of Minet coverage, teachers have decried bad services ranging from Minet-accredited subpar hospitals to lengthy wait times for treatment approval.
“One issue which has come out strongly is about the medical cover by Minet. Teachers are not getting value for their money. We have faced a lot of challenges in approval of treatment and in the clearance of bills.”
“We are so hopeful that the voice of the teachers for once will be heard. In one voice the teacher say no to Minet.” Said Kuppet during a press briefing.
KUPPET claims that the services provided by AON-Minet Insurance company, which was contracted by their employer TSC have infuriated teachers.
“Many teachers are frustrated in the hands of this monster, I call it Monster because if it’s Health it has to be perfect, if it’s not perfect it is nothing, it has not to be there.
“I am so hopeful that our President, William samoy Ruto, our own son, will hear the voices of the teachers. I know is a man enough, he will come for our rescue. We have raised our voices over and over again
