Machogu :One-Week Half-Term Break in the Academic Year 2024

On Friday, October 13, Ezekiel Machogu, who is now serving as the Cabinet Secretary for Education, distributed vital information on the next academic year of 2024. The new schedule will have an effect on all types of educational institutions, including as preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and universities that provide instruction for students planning to become teachers.

It is planned that classes for the First Term of 2024 will start on January 8 and continue for a total of 13 weeks, concluding on April 5. This schedule was to be followed by everyone, as it was required by the government. The vast majority of people employed in education and other areas closely associated to it have voiced their contentment with this piece of news.

The results of the poll show that schools will continue to observe half-term holidays on the dates that were initially established. The one significant adjustment, however, is that the break that was previously planned to last from the 29th of February to the 3rd of March will now only last for three days. This change was made due to the fact that the survey was conducted.

Following that, the children will be able to take advantage of a spring break that is scheduled to begin on April 8 and last for a total of three weeks, with the last day of the break falling on April 26 according to the same local news source.

The second semester will begin on April 29 and end on August 5, with the customary break of three days occurring in June between the first and second halves of the semester. The second semester will begin on April 29 and end on August 5.
