TSC FINALLY PUBLISHES 5000 SECONDARY AND PRIMARY PNP TEACHING VACANCIES DISTRIBUTION BY COUNTY

TSC recruitment is current. In the fourth quarter of this year, according to the instructors Service Commission (TSC), all instructors who left their positions due to natural attrition nationally would be replaced.

As part of the scheme, 1,000 teachers who left their positions in July and August will be replaced.

To prevent interfering with the academic process of its students, TSC plans to publicize these positions—whether new or replacement—as soon as possible.

This follows the commission’s publication of the Guidelines for Hiring Primary and Secondary School Teachers for the Academic Year 2023–2024 yesterday.

TSC management addressed persistent rumors regarding the procedure and cautioned instructors to exercise patience.

Once these messages have been made public, TSC will inform all teachers via their official social media platforms.

The Commission plans to release a comprehensive list of open posts, together with details on the institutions that are hiring for these positions and the combination of subjects that are necessary. Successful applicants may serve anywhere in the nation, not just in their recruitment location, as TSC spokesperson Macharia noted.

Learning development and policy implementation in Kenyan schools have been delayed by teacher shortages, which are partly attributable to the former president Uhuru Kenyatta’s 100% reform initiative.

Due to the transition from primary school, there is now an estimated shortage of 58,291 instructors in post-primary institutions and roughly 38,054 teachers in primary schools.

TSC believes that roughly 96,000 additional instructors are needed in Kenyan schools overall. Vocational and technical schools also require an additional 5,000 teachers due to their size.

The administration is actively putting up a plan to boost teacher enrollment in all public schools and improve working conditions for educators nationwide.
