Government announces 789 jobs in the public sector.
789 positions are open in a variety of state departments and ministries, according to the Kenyan government.
The Public Service Commission (PSC) stated in a notice obtained by the Star that interested and qualified Kenyans have till March 19 to submit their applications.
“Interested and qualified persons are required to make their applications online through the commission’s website or jobs portal, so as to reach the commission on or before March 19, 2024,” stated the CEO of the Commission.

A Director General of Health is being sought after by the Ministry of Health, and 26 senior officials are being sought after by the State Department for Health and Professional Standards to fill the roles of Senior Deputy Directors, Public Health, Director of Health Management Services, and Deputy Director General for Health.
A Secretary, Special Programmes, is also being sought after by the state department of ASALS and Regional Development.
Secretaries are needed for Management Consultancy Services, Human Resource Services, and Counseling and Wellness Services at the State Department of Public Service.
Additionally, it seeks to hire 300 Assistant Office Administrators III, 100 Management Analyst II (Organization), 40 Human Resource Management and Development officers II, 50 Human Resource Management Assistant III, 9 Psychological Counselors, and 100 Office Administrators II.
Additionally, the state department of livestock development is hiring for the following positions: lecturer (106), assistant animal health officers III (20), veterinarian officers (30), zoologists, laboratory analysts, assistant leather development officers, assistant livestock production officers III, registered nurse III, and library assistant III.
A secretary of mining, a secretary of geological survey, directors of geological survey and research, mineral exploration and evaluation, environment and engineering geology, licensing, compliance and enforcement, and a director of commercial explosives are among the positions that the state department of mining is now searching for.
Additionally, the state department is looking for Deputy Directors of Artisanal Mining, Quarrying Operations, Value Addition, and Mining (Mineral Audit, Mines Health, Safety, and Environment) as well as Senior Principal Superintending Inspector of Explosives officials.
Additionally sought after are Senior Principal Laboratory Technologists, Chief Superintending Inspector of Explosives officials, Assistant Directors for Artisanal Mining, Quarrying Operations, and Value Addition.
