KPLC schedules power cuts in six counties on Wednesday

Kenya Power has advised residents in a few different regions of six chosen counties to expect several hours without power on Wednesday in order to accommodate network repairs.

The utility firm said in a notification on Tuesday night that customers in some areas of Nairobi, Makueni, Kajiado, Migori, Kiambu, and Kilifi counties will be impacted by the planned power supply outage.

In Nairobi, Dandora phases 1–5, portions of Councilor Opondo Road, Gitari, Marigu, and surrounding customers will be without electricity from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Customers of Makueni County’s Kiboko Market and their counterparts in the Masimba Market will suffer from a same fate.

Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., residents in and around Utini, Matuu, Makutano, Yikivumbu, Vololo, Ngaaka, and surrounding villages will also be without power.

Ilpolosat SGR and the surrounding areas in Kajiado will be impacted by the outage on the same schedule.

The power outage, which is planned to occur between 9 am and 4 pm in locations such as Kehancha Town, Migori Airstrip, Kefri, Nyanchabo, Masaba, and Nyamamagagana, would also have an impact on Migori County residents who live in the vicinity of Kehancha and Ntimaru.

Kurutyange, Ikerege, Tarawiti, Koego, Nyametaburo, Karosi, St Kizito, Maeta, Kegonga, Igena, Nyabikongori, Kebarisia, Mosweto, Nyamutiro, Kebaroti, Makararangwe, Ntimaru, and nearby consumers are among the other places that may be impacted.

Kahawa Sukari and Wendani residents in Kiambu have been warned to prepare for hours without power between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

KU University, Clean Shelf Wendani, Magunas Wendani, Royal Homes, Playway Academy, Quickmart, Wendani Hospital, Zetech, and Rainbow Hotel, Ruiru are among the establishments that may be impacted.

The others are National Oil, Waki, Agape, Mijicare, KU Mortuary, Unicity Mall, Naivas, and nearby clients.

Kilifi County: Kakanjuni, Ganze, Vitengeni, Longombaya, Sokoke, Matano Manne, Palakumi, Pentanguo, Mwapule, Dzikunze, Mnarani, Mavueni, New Life, Vipingo, and Shauri Moyo will all be without power from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

consumers in the vicinity of Kadzinuni, Chasimba, Jaribuni, Mwarakaya, Pwani Oil, Tiger Packaging, Flamboyant, Vipingo Industries, and nearby consumers are also under Kenya Power’s gaze.
