Brief Description
Job Purpose Statement:
By offering training on pertinent aviation health issues to the entire KQ company, the role’s overarching goal is to guarantee compliance with legal and regulatory standards. It also aims to capitalize on this niche to increase external clientele and revenue. Provide the medical staff with practical skills and competence while making sure internal safety audits and regulatory compliance are met. To ensure applicability, s/he will be required to continue practicing at Pride or our clinics.
Detailed Description
- Clinic Operations and Training Audit
- Medical trainer will be expected to  spend 15% of his time on the medical shop floor at JKIA and Pride Clinic to provide clinic care and keep himself abreast with evidence based clinical practice and audit aviation health practices on the shop floor
- Continuously embrace current technology to develop e-learning medical platforms as applicable
- Carry out evaluation of AVMED training practices
Training Delivery and Outcome
- Carry out the Pride academy regulatory annual training plans including evaluation and examinations, training reports and certification.
- Analyze medical training needs across the airline and design and implement training plan.
- Prepare learning materials to ensure effective delivery of training.
- Delivery of training of identified organizational staff and partners within the KQ ecosystem.
- Keeping inventory of training materials and servicing of equipment.
- Evaluate impact of knowledge transfer.
 Compliance
- Compliance with aviation regulatory training requirements and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance to KCAA, ICAO, IATA, DOSH, Ministry of health and professional boards/councils’ statutes through implementation of standards and requirements across the organization.
- Prepare for and participate in internal and external training and safety audits.
- Ensure tracking and closure of aviation medical incidents
- Review, update and present manuals and SOPs for approval.
- Carry out annual occupational health checks across the business as per DOSH
 Revenue
- S/he is expected to grow medical training business on aviation related health matters from the industry
- Grow Revenue workstream as per budget planning for training on aviation health matters.
- Identify and grow new product portfolio with new business partners
- % crew /staff trained on relevant aviation health matters (IATA Compliance)
- KQ organization wide First Aid Training
- Skills and competence training for medical staff.
 Compliance
- KQ Occupational Health certification for OSHA 2007
- Ensure Implementation and implementation of OH elements of OSHA 2007
- Develop and document training manuals, SOPs, MOMS
- Monitors and ensures training and implementation of new standards
 Revenue
- Grow Revenue workstream for training on aviation health matters
- Identify and grow new product portfolio with new business partners
Job Requirements
- At least a Higher Diploma in Clinical field with valid practice license
- BLS, ATLS / ACLS; AHA certified Emergency Care Instructor
- Instructional Technique; Instructional design; e-learning expertise.
- Minimum 5 years clinical care
- At least 2 years’ work within the aviation health sector; 3 years training experience in medical and manual development OSH certification F
- First aid training certification
- Â KCAA training certification
- Deep insight of the aviation sector
