In preparation for the three-day national exams, most primary schools have already received examination materials. The KCPE and KPSEA exams are set to begin on October 31st and end on November 1st, 2023.

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has verified that arrangements to deliver national examinations to a total of 2.3 million learners, comprising KCPE and KCSE applicants, have been finalized. The KCPE exam will be taken by around 1,415,315 candidates, while the KCSE exam will be taken by another 903,260. In addition, KNEC has prepared for 1,282,574 Grade Six students taking the KPSEA.

During the rehearsal day, invigilators and supervisors are responsible for ensuring secure storage of examination materials, inspecting examination rooms for compliance with Council specifications, briefing candidates on proper exam conduct, and assigning duties to invigilators to ensure the smooth administration of the exams.
