TSC Promotions Interviews Will Begin on Monday.
Early next week, national teacher promotion interviews for primary school teachers are scheduled to begin by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
The purpose of the December 4–15, 2023, interviews is to fill the 36,505 promotion openings that were posted in September of the same year.
C1 instructors will compete for 10,819 Senior Teacher II (C2) positions in ordinary schools and 700 spots in special schools in the first round of the process.
Original national ID cards, academic and professional certificates, appointment letters, analyzed subject results for the previous three years, performance appraisal reports for 2020, 2021, and 2022, and any other pertinent testimonials supporting performance are among the specific documents that the Commission has specified must be presented during the promotion interviews.
Approximately 150,000 primary and secondary school teachers have been shortlisted for the interviews, competing for the available vacancies.
Secondary school teachers will undergo interviews in January 2024, running from the 3rd to the 16th.
In conventional primary schools, 3,040 C2 teachers will compete for the Senior Teacher I (C3) post, while 346 C2 teachers will compete in special schools.
In ordinary primary schools, 1,930 Deputy Headteacher II (C4) positions will be filled by C3 teachers. Deputy Headteachers in C4 will compete for 30 Headteacher posts in special schools and 1,049 Headteacher positions in conventional primary schools in C5.
With the greatest number of teachers ever shortlisted for advancement by TSC, this interview process breaks previous records.
It’s also the first time that interviews like this for school administrator promotions are being held in sub-counties.
