Lack of Seats Forces Pwani University Students to Sit on Floors
Due to a lack of seats, Pwani University students are forced to sit on the floor. Pwani University students are currently in an unpleasant and irritating seating arrangement. Despite the appointment of Prof. James Kahindi as the new Vice Chancellor, students continue to attend lectures while sitting on the floor due to a major paucity of seats in the lecture halls.
The student body has reacted fiercely to this situation. Some people have taken matters into their own hands and advised freshmen to attend lectures on the verandah as a temporary solution. As a show of solidarity, students in their second year are calling for a class boycott until proper seating is supplied.
Concerns have been made by parents and students regarding the lack of seating, particularly in light of the high university tuition fees. Many people are perplexed as to how such a critical issue could persist under the new administration.
This disaster emphasizes the seriousness with which Pwani University must address its infrastructure difficulties and prioritize students’ comfort and wellbeing. It is hoped that the university administration would act immediately to address this issue and ensure that students can continue their studies in a conducive learning environment.
