Job Purpose
Supporting the Legal Services Division in the delivery of legal services to the Commission is the responsibility of this post.
Key Responsibilities
- Â Drafting and filing pleadings, witness statements and other documents for use in court.
- Â Drafting relevant legal opinions.
- Â Drafting contracts and agreements.
- Â Undertaking legal research and drafting legal briefs and court documents.
- Â Attending court on behalf of the Commission.
- Â Preparing activity reports.
Skills, Experience and Minimum Qualifications
-  Bachelor’s degree in law from a recognized university and a Post graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law
- 1 years of service in a comparable position from a reputable organization
- Â Conversant and understanding of human rights principles
- Â Must be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current practicing certificate
- Â Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Â Ability to work under pressure
- Â Computer literacy
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
